Plymouth is really two markets sharing a name and a school district. The City of Plymouth is a compact grid of early-1900s houses radiating out from Kellogg Park, where the Ice Festival in winter and the Fall Festival in September draw the region downtown. Streets are narrow, lots are modest, and the housing runs to bungalows, foursquares, and Colonial Revivals.
Plymouth Township surrounds the city with subdivision-era housing built across five decades. Lake Pointe went up between 1957 and 1966 and runs to roughly 800 homes; Trailwood followed in the 1970s with about 566; Ridgewood Hills filled in during the early 1990s with capes, colonials, and ranches. Hines Drive and its parkway trace the southern edge, and M-14 and I-275 put Ann Arbor and Detroit each about half an hour out.

The columns are houses and condos. Small multi-family, manufactured homes and the subtypes the feed leaves unplaceable are counted in the total above and in neither column, so the two columns do not add up to it. Land and farms are left out. “Over asking” means above the price a home was last listed at, not its original price, and is taken over the sales that carried one. Price per square foot divides by above-grade finished area where the MLS reports it and by the total finished area where it does not; each figure is labelled with the one it used, so two figures labelled differently are not measuring the same thing. Below 5 sales a figure gives the count without a median, and a single sale is given no figure at all.
