Shelly Pond is a named residential pocket in Northville Township, about a mile and a half southwest of the Northville centre. Northville Township bills the taxes rather than the City of Northville, and Northville Public Schools covers most of the township.

Shelley Pond is a small custom-home enclave south of Seven Mile Road and east of Beck Road. Its limited number of homes and landscaped setting make individual lot position especially relevant.

Large Colonial and Cape Cod homes are associated with the community. Custom room arrangements, garage capacity and lower-level finishes can vary substantially, even where exterior styles appear similar.
