Hickory Creek is a named subdivision in Northville Township covering roughly 50 acres, about two miles southwest of the Northville centre. As everywhere in the township, the tax rate is the township's rather than the city's, and the school district follows a line of its own — Northville Public Schools for most of the township, confirmed by address.

Hickory Creek is a condominium community west of Beck Road and north of Six Mile Road. A wooded setting and smaller community scale distinguish it from the larger condo developments along Haggerty.

Homes include spacious layouts with attached garages and lower levels, including walkout configurations in some units. The connection between the main floor, deck and backyard can be a defining feature.

Six Mile and Beck roads help orient a visit. The particular subdivision entrance matters when comparing homes on opposite sides of these roads.
