Blue Heron Pointe is a named subdivision of roughly 65 acres in Northville Township, about two miles southwest of the Northville centre. As with the rest of the township, the taxes are Northville Township's and not the City of Northville's, and Northville Public Schools serves most of the township — the district is still worth checking for a given address. Blue Heron Pointe is a condominium community west of Beck Road and south of Seven Mile Road. Blue Heron Lake is central to its identity, and the relationship between a particular home and the water is a major part of the search.

The attached homes include two-story and first-floor-primary layouts. Decks and lower levels can create several ways to enjoy the setting, although the water view and access arrangements vary by unit.

Beck and Seven Mile roads provide useful orientation, with Six Mile serving destinations farther south. Larger residential lots can feel removed from commercial areas even when the drive is straightforward.
