Bella Vista is a named subdivision in Northville Township covering roughly 14 acres, about a mile and a half southwest of the Northville centre. Northville Township taxes apply rather than the City of Northville's, and Northville Public Schools covers most of the township; the district line is confirmed by address, not by subdivision.

Bella Vista is a gated residential enclave south of Seven Mile Road and east of Beck Road. Custom architecture and pond-oriented settings help distinguish it from the larger subdivisions nearby.

Substantial custom houses, many from the 2000s, can include expansive kitchens, multiple entertaining areas and extensive lower-level improvements. Design and finish levels vary considerably, so individual properties deserve more attention than a broad average.

Beck and Seven Mile roads provide useful orientation, with Six Mile serving destinations farther south. Larger residential lots can feel removed from commercial areas even when the drive is straightforward.
