About Bolles Harbor

Bolles Harbor is an unincorporated community in Monroe Charter Township, on Lake Erie where LaPlaisance Creek reaches the lake. William Bolles platted it in 1921 and sold lots to year-round residents from the start — a different origin from the summer colonies further up the shore, and it shows in the housing.

Cottages, ranches and Cape Cods sit alongside later and replacement construction, and that spread of building ages means two homes a street apart can be very different purchases. Waterfront and interior lots are the other axis: a renovated smaller house on the water and a newer house built around the view are not competing for the same buyer.

The township's 2024 Parks and Recreation Master Plan identifies both private marinas and a public DNR boat launch at the harbor. Those are area facilities. Private access attached to a particular home is a separate question, and it belongs in the title work rather than in a listing description — I will check it for you.
