Golf Ridge

Golf Ridge is a Soave-built subdivision in the village of Dundee, in Monroe County — one of three Soave developments in a village of a little over five thousand, which makes the builder a bigger part of Dundee's housing story than it would be almost anywhere else. One thing worth knowing in Dundee, on any street: the village sits inside Dundee Township rather than apart from it, so a parcel within the village limits is billed by both. A parcel outside them is billed by the township alone. The line is drawn on the parcel, not on the mailing address. Homes here are served by Dundee Community Schools, and Ann Arbor is about twenty-five minutes north on US-23. Dundee is home for me, so ask me anything about Golf Ridge that a listing sheet will not tell you.

Its homes give buyers another option for subdivision living near Dundee's everyday services and regional road connections. The community name should not be taken as a promise of golf membership, course access or a particular view from every property.

Listings in Golf Ridge include two-story homes with attached garages and layouts that separate bedrooms from the main living areas. Some four-bedroom plans include an additional room that can serve as a library or home office. Those details are useful starting points, but floor plans and finishes vary from one home to another. When visiting, also look at the backyard orientation and neighboring homes; a subdivision-level description cannot capture those property-specific differences.

Golf Ridge has a master deed and condominium bylaws. Do not assume lawn care or snow removal is included without the current documents. A careful comparison of the house and its ongoing obligations will give you a more useful picture than asking price alone.
