About Historic East Side
The Historic East Side sits immediately east of Depot Town, and its association — founded in 1973 — is the oldest in Ypsilanti. The neighborhood runs roughly from Forest and Prospect south and west to the railroad right-of-way and Grove Road, taking in nineteenth- and early twentieth-century housing on established streets. Much of this ground falls inside the Ypsilanti Historic District, which carries real design review. Ask me whether a specific house is inside the line.
