About Forest Ridge
Forest Ridge is a detached-home community in Milford Charter Township, off Hill Hollow Lane near I-96 and across Milford Road from Heritage Hill. The houses are among the largest in the township, running from roughly 3,500 square feet to over 5,000, set against woodland and wetland preservation areas that were kept out of development.
The association here owns more than most. Its common property takes in the streets themselves, along with a pool, a playground, the greenbelt, the entrance improvements, the landscaping and the irrigation. Private streets are the part worth understanding before an offer: the association funds their upkeep and eventually their replacement, that is a capital item rather than a maintenance one, and whether it has been reserved for is a question the budget and the reserve study answer.
The preserved land is the other half of the setting. Wetland is a regulated feature rather than a spare yard, so what can be done near it is set by the permit regime rather than by the lot line.
