About South End

The South End is the part of Dearborn south of the Ford Rouge complex, taking in Salina and the residential streets around Amazon, Schaefer, Michigan and Riverside. It is the city's oldest immigrant quarter and the most tightly woven into its industry: houses, shops and works sit closer together here than anywhere else in Dearborn, and Fordson Island lies within the area the residents' organization covers.

That mix is the thing to understand before comparing anything. Two houses a few streets apart can sit very differently in relation to the nonresidential ground around them, and the block is what tells you, not the postal area. Salina has its own page here for the streets around the school.
